"Maid no Susume" by Okara

Here we got a chapter with a very cute, tsundere-ish maid in it.
Hope you enjoy it ;-)

Okara is surely an artist who draws nice stories, where the humor plays an important role, and they're mostly (always?) vanilla. Not as good as master Kouda Tomohiro, but still, definitely worth reading, I think :-)
Sadly, apart from his doujins, this is the only translated chapter by him, even though there are quite some original stories by him which appeared in magazines.
Well, if I have time left, I'll try do translate some more of them ;-)

In my RL, I read the manga Parasyte, which was really interesting. It got quite a lot of gore, but also has it's light-hearted moments and especially, the plot is really thrilling. As the name implies, it's about an extra-terrestrial parasite-species and a guy, who gets infected by such a parasite, but still survives the 'attack', leading to a symbiotic state of living. Well, it's pretty interesting, so give it a shot ;-)
Also, the manga is available in English as printed manga, so if you got the money left, buy it ;-)
How did I come to read this manga? Of course, it was caused by a doujin, specifically, this one. Since I didn't know the manga it was based on and the doujin looked kinda interesting, I gave it a shot. And it was worth it. And the doujin was pretty good, too^^

Well, that's all this time, see you next time! ;-)

EDIT: Gallery and DDL-Link should be working now :-)

  3. I am confused about the difference between this "Okara" and the one who signs as Aspergillus. Could Aspergillus be the same guy, but after fermentation, so to speak?

You find cropped art from "Our Secret in Late Night" in a July announcement on Aspergillus' website at dubdubdub okara-tei d'ought net. So how can you blame me for thinkin' maybe...

    1. According to e-hentai, they are the same artist.
I'd say Aspergillus is the circle's name (where artist Okara would be the one who draws), while Okara is the artist's name. Therefore, while publishing doujinshis, the name 'Aspergillus' is used, and 'Okara' is used for the artist's own stories/publications in magazines.

    2. Oh... that makes a lot of sense, because the draftsmanship is similar but the finishing is usually quite different.

"Our Secret" might be a rare example Aspergillus having an all-Okara release -- short, original, graphical cartoon style, and with a joke or a mistake as the plot anchor.

      One vote for more Okara!
